The Auspicious Hotel

Today we had some important big-wigs over for a meeting. They were from an IT organization that is interested in sending students to attend TIP/IT. Since I was the teacher for the only TIP/IT class that we've had so far, I got to attend the meeting. As most people know, I very much dislike meetings and as far as meetings go, this one wasn't too painful. However, after the meeting we went to lunch!!!! Dr. Yu took them to the Auspicious Hotel, the best restaurant in ChangPing. The food the the decor were amazing!!! Supposedly, it runs about 100 to 200 yuan per person. Temple of Heaven

This weekend Laura and I went and visited my host mother (I stayed with her when I studied Chinese). While we were there, I took Laura to visit the Temple of Heaven.

Coming Back Home for a Visit

I've completed my Chinese studies and am now preparing to be an English teacher. Part of that preparation includes switching over from a student visa to a work visa.

我学完了汉语.我的汉语水平不太高,可是我的汉语改良很多.现在我准备教英文.所以我应该换学生签证拿工作签证.

I had originally planned on going to Mongolia or Korea or some pleace equally close. However, China in their infinite wisdom decided that since there are so many people wanting visas this year, they would make the process as difficult as possible. So I have to go back to the States to get a Chinese visa, lol

如果你想拿一个工作签证,你应该离开中国.我想去一个很近的国家.比如蒙古还是韩国.可是我应该去美国.

But, I'm not complaining. It gives me a chance to see everyone back home . I'll be back in the States from July 15th to August 4th. When I get back I'm planning on staying a day with Aunt and then off to teaching English!
